Slender: The Arrival takes players on a journey through the dark world of Slender Man, and the game ends exactly where it starts: in the middle of a vast forest. Once you enter the final level, The Arrival, you'll quickly realize that it's a little different than those prior; instead of running around finding collectibles and solving puzzles, you'll be running through the roaring flames of a forest fire as Slenderman attempts to ensnare you.

Here's how to beat the forest fire level (Part 5: The Arrival) in Slender: The Arrival, so you can make it back to the radio tower and beat the game.

Once you start out in The Arrival level, you'll be in a building; simply find your way to the door and follow the path outside. Continue following the path until you reach a mine, which you'll walk through with no issue (aside from a single jumpscare).

At the end of the mine, you'll reach even more pathways that lead upwards. As you follow the paths, you may notice a radio tower in the distance. Keep your eye on it and note its location because it's about to become very important.

Once you reach the end of the path, you'll find the forest - which is entirely on fire. This is where the real challenge begins. Your goal from here is to reach the radio tower at the top of the hill without dying to Slenderman or falling victim to the falling, flaming trees.

Dodging Flaming Trees

There are a variety of paths that allow you to go up the hill and reach the radio tower, and it's randomly generated as to which ones will have trees that fall down on you. However, there's always one clear path.

There is a trick to making your way through the forest fire: single trees never fall, but couples of trees might. If you see one tree on one side of a path, that tree isn't going to fall. However, if you see a spot in the path where there's one tree on each side, those trees have the potential to fall. Carefully approach them, and step back immediately if you see the trunks tilt into one another, as they'll quickly fall.

If the duos of trees do fall, you know that you're going the wrong way. Turn around and try taking another one of the paths. You'll continue doing this until you reach the building at the top of the hill.

Avoiding Slenderman

Slenderman is also lurking out in these woods, and he's more determined to get you than ever during this interaction. He'll appear randomly in front of you as you try to make your way through the forest, sometimes extending his tentacles to block your path. An interaction with Slenderman at this point means certain death, so it's definitely best to avoid the monster at all costs.

Thankfully, it's not as hard as it may seem to avoid Slenderman at this point. When you see him or his tentacles, simply look away and turn in the other direction. After walking just a moment, turn back around and check if he's gone. You may hear a sound cue letting you know that he's moved, and you're free to walk down the path he was blocking.

If you manage to get through the forest fire without getting burnt even once by the flaming trees, you'll earn the Fire Proof achievement. On the other hand, if you do happen to fall victim to Slenderman's ensnarement, you'll earn an achievement for that, too.
