Restart Your Game, Console, or PC

This is a simple but effective way to resolve many technical glitches. Sometimes, the game or the device might encounter some errors that affect the audio performance. By restarting your game, console, or PC, you can clear these errors and restore the normal functioning of the audio. Make sure you close the game completely and not just put it in rest mode. This will ensure that the game is reloaded from scratch and not from a cached state.

Change Your Audio Settings

Some Xbox players have found that changing their audio to “Stereo Uncompressed” in the console settings and then restarting the game solved the problem. This might be because the game does not support some of the other audio formats that are available on Xbox. To change your audio settings on Xbox, follow these steps:

  • Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
  • Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Volume & audio output.
  • Under Speaker audio, select Stereo uncompressed.
  • Restart your game and check if the audio issue is fixed.

You can also try adjusting your sound configuration in the Control Panel if you are playing on PC. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower-right corner of your screen and select Sounds.
  • In the Sound window, select the Playback tab and choose your default device (usually Speakers or Headphones).
  • Click on Configure and follow the instructions to set up your speaker configuration.
  • Click on OK and then Apply to save your changes.
  • Restart your game and check if the audio issue is fixed.

Update Your Audio Driver

This is especially important if you are using headphones or external speakers. Your audio driver is a software that enables your device to communicate with your audio hardware. Sometimes, it can cause audio issues if it is outdated, corrupted, or incompatible with your game. To update your audio driver, you can either use Windows Update or download the latest version from your manufacturer’s website. To use Windows Update, follow these steps:

  • Press Windows + I keys to open Settings.
  • Select Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on Check for updates and wait for Windows to scan for available updates.
  • If there is an update for your audio driver, click on Download and install.
  • Restart your device and check if the audio issue is fixed.

To download the latest version from your manufacturer’s website, follow these steps:

  • Identify your audio device model and manufacturer.
  • Go to your manufacturer’s website and look for the support or download section.
  • Find your audio device model and download the latest driver for it.
  • Run the installer and follow the instructions to install the driver.
  • Restart your device and check if the audio issue is fixed.

Reinstall or Repair Directx
