Is Rhapsody Coming to Apex Legends In 2023

With Apex Legends Mobile shutting down, could the exclusive character Rhapsody come to Apex Legends on console or PC in the future?
Is Rhapsody Coming to Apex Legends In 2023

With the recent news of Apex Legends Mobile being sunset (discontinued) on the 1st May 2023, many players are wondering what will become of the exclusive characters that the game introduced. One of these characters, Rhapsody, was just recently introduced in mid-2022, and if you're a fan of this Legend, then you may wonder if she'll be coming to the PC or console port of the game.

Well, you won't have to wonder for much longer as that's the question we aim to answer in this article. We'll be discussing the possibility of whether Rhapsody will be coming to Apex legends on either PC or console and the reasons behind our and many others' speculations.

Is Rhapsody Coming To Apex Legends Pc Or Console Likely Not due to technical cost and popularity

Is Rhapsody Coming to Apex Legends Console or PC

The short answer to this question is most likely not, and the chances of Rhapsody coming to Apex Legends on console or PC are extremely slim. The long answer is slightly more nuanced, but it also leans more towards a no for two main reasons.

The first is due to what players want. Currently, there isn't a huge push for the character to come to console or PC, and with the plethora of Legends to choose from in the console and PC roster, most players don't see any need for Rhapsody to make a debut in the game. This is especially evident in that most console and PC players only wanted the quality of skins and update frequency that the mobile version offered, not the exclusive characters specifically.

The second reason is the return on investment and developer limitations. Rhapsody was specifically designed for the Mobile version of Apex Legends, i.e. her skillset and abilities are best suited for that platform, but it would likely not be worth the effort to port her over to PC and console. The developers likely have other priorities when it comes to the console and PC platforms of Apex Legends, and would likely find it more cost-effective and less stressful to focus on those than trying to port a Legend who excelled mainly on mobile to console and PC platforms.

Is Rhapsody Coming To Apex Legends Pc Or Console Perhaps in far future

Sadly, while this means we likely won't see Rhapsody for a while once the Mobile version of the game is discontinued, it's not to say we'll never see her again. The developers have stated in the past that while Mobile exclusive characters will likely not appear in the PC or console version of the game, it's not an impossibility.

Although they have been developed for mobile, they would likely not want to throw away a perfectly good character, and we could likely see Rhapsody reemerge in later seasons after they've worked out her abilities for the new platforms. But since it likely won't be a priority for Respawn, we should expect this later rather than sooner.
