The notoriety system is a gameplay mechanic in Assassin's Creed Mirage that has appeared in past titles in different forms and manners with this time around, it being more robust and having consequences than before.

It also adds an extra layer of difficulty to gameplay and exploration, as the world starts to react in a bad way depending on the Notoriety level.

So, to ensure you know everything about the said system and details on how to decrease Notoriety in Assassin's Creed Mirage, keep reading our guide.

Assassin's Creed Mirage features a three-level Notoriety system, each posing certain danger towards you, hindering exploration and other such things.

The different Notoriety levels have a threshold that you can cross by continuing illegal activity around Baghdad. That said, whenever you cross a threshold and enter the next level of Notoriety, certain changes in the game world will take place.

To give you a better overview, we have shared the three Notoriety levels and what happens when you reach them:

Level 1

Civilians might recognize Basim and call the guards to their location. Wanted Posters appear on some walls around Baghdad.

Level 2

Guards have increased perception and are more likely to detect you. Archers start patrolling the rooftops. Civilians are also more likely to report you to the authorities. More Wanted Posters appear, which can attract passersby.

Level 3

Maximum Notoriety. The elite Shakiriyya guard is unleashed on your trail. Guards are very likely to detect Basim. Civilians gather around posters, and there is a high chance for them to recognize you and call the guards.

Now that you know everything about the Notoriety levels in Assassin's Creed Mirage, it is time you learn how to decrease it to ensure there are no hindrances while tackling quests or exploration.

How To Decrease Notoriety In Assassin's Creed Mirage

There are two ways to decrease Notoriety in Assassin's Creed Mirage, the first option is to remove Wanted Posters that start to appear around Baghdad when you gain Notoriety and the other one is to bribe the Munadi, a sort of speakers whom you will find all around Baghdad.

Remove Wanted Posters

When you gain Notoriety in Assassin's Creed Mirage, depending on the level of the Notoriety, your Wanted Posters start appearing on the walls of buildings around Baghdad. These posters do not appear on the world map like the location of the Munadi.

However, finding them is easier if you closely observe your radar during exploration. Whenever you are near a Wanted Poster, it will appear on the radar on the top middle portion of the game screen, as highlighted in the screenshot below.

Go near the Wanted Poster and press the 'E' key on your keyboard or the respective button on your controller to remove the Wanted Poster. Doing so will reduce the Notoriety by one level.

Bribe Munadi

Bribing Munadi is the best way to get rid of Notoriety in Assassin's Creed Mirage, though keep in mind, for their service, they take Power Tokens, which you can use to hire mercenaries for distraction and extra firepower and other services around Baghdad.
