Battlefield 2042 Dark Creations has been released with hundreds of hours worth of quality gameplay for players to experience and enjoy, including new battlepass-oriented missions and challenges. However, there's one that is confusing players, which requires you to get kills with "Tactical Weapons". Today, we're going to explain how to complete this task and obtain tactical weapons within Battlefield 2042.

What Counts As a Tactical Weapon in Battlefield 2042

The answer is quite straightforward and underwhelming. Tactical weapons are a sub-category within the create-a-class menu, traditionally found on the right-hand side. The tactical category includes weapons such as shotguns, the crossbow, bolt action rifles, and rail guns - all viable options to complete this task.

To complete the somewhat confusing challenge, players need to select any of the weapons under the "Tactical" category and head into the match to begin getting either kills or assists with the tactical weapon. Players aren't required to modify any weapons, the challenge is essentially "Get kills and assists with an assault rifle" except it's just tactical weapons.

For newer players struggling with the task, simply head to "Classes" select an unwanted class, and replace the weapon with any singular tactical weapon. The challenge is non-weapon specific, meaning any weapon from the tactical category can be selected.
