Call of Duty's 2024 release will be Black Ops 6, following on from the story of Black Ops Cold War and reuniting players with familiar faces — and familiar mechanics. In the game's anticipated Zombies mode, we'll be returning to round-based Zombies, with 1-4 players teaming up to take down the horde in waves.
While this mode will no doubt evolve and grow over time, Activision's Treyarch has revealed new details on what will be available in Black Ops 6: Zombies at launch, including the maps.

There will be two maps available in Black Ops 6: Zombies at launch:
- Terminus Island Map
- Liberty Falls Map
Terminus Island
Terminus is set on a remote island in the Philippine Sea, and is one of the biggest round-based maps Treyarch has developed. The map will feature a drivable vehicle for the first time in a round-based Zombies mode, the Project Janis Tactical Raft, which can be used to navigate the outer islands and a shipwreck.
Players can expect to find the new Beamsmasher Wonder Weapon, which features two different firing types: sounds frequency, and light energy. In addition, randomized ambient encounters are designed to bring the map's environments to life across each match. The example Treyarch gave was a prison guard that might have been eaten by a zombie before players could save them in one match, while in the next zombies might rush and attack a player in a previously empty hallway.
Liberty Falls
More information is set to arrive on Liberty Falls as we head closer to launch, but so far Treyarch has revealed that this map is set in West Virginia. The town is seemingly the epicenter of a Dark Aether outbreak, with the local population having succumbed to the results of a dimensional breach.
More details on Liberty Falls will arrive with Activision's upcoming showcase Call of Duty NEXT, broadcasting on August 28, 2024.
