The Krig 6 assault rifle has received several noteworthy buffs in Cold War Season 2 Reloaded.

Treyarch has decided to take the opportunity with the mid-season update to deliver balance changes across all weapons classes with "a fresh tuning pass to ensure each weapon plays to its strengths without emerging as a clear frontrunner in its class."

In the assault rifle class, Treyarch implemented buffs to the Krig 6, FFAR 1, and Groza, in order to make these weapons more competitive as their data shows that time-to-kill (TTK) is not in line with other weapons in their class.

The Krig 6 received by far the biggest amount of changes with the Season 2 Reloaded update, and the rifle now looks really strong.

Aiming-down sights visibility is now significantly improved, the "floaty" feeling when firing for a prolonged amount of time is now fixed and the weapon received "a complete tuning pass" on the accuracy, movement, and visual clarity while firing with any Optic attachment.

With all these changes, it almost feels like the Krig 6 is a completely new weapon, and if you are excited to try it Season 2 Reloaded, here is the best loadout we recommend you to use.

Here we breakdown what are the perfect attachments for the best Krig 6 class setup in Black Ops Cold War Season 2 Reloaded, and why we choose them.

  • Optic: Microflex LED
No pros or cons, just a good old 1.25x zoom that will help you to quickly ADS at close-to-mid-range situations.
  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 5.56
The latest update addresses several issues with Muzzle and Underbarrel attachments that affect Recoil on assault rifles, and a + 4% Vertical Recoil Control bonus should now feel significantly better.
  • Barrel: 19.7″ Ranger
This right here is the real deal, with +100% on Bullet Velocity this build will destroy your enemies, especially now when it feels much less clunky to fire and aim with it.
  • Body: Ember Sighting Point
As this weapon is best at close-to-mid-range engagements, you will often need to react quickly and be faster than your enemies. That's why we like + 30% Reveal Distance and + 30% Hip Fire Accuracy bonuses, which help in different situations, but both serve the same purpose - to be one step ahead.
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
With new changes to how Recoil Control works with Underbarrel and assault rifles, this one is a no-brainer pick.
  • Magazine: 40 Rnd
We are opting for 40 Rnd as we think that default 30 Rnd will often put you in awkward situations.
  • Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap
With improvements to ADS in Season 2 Reloaded, ADS time bonus from Airborne Elastic Wrap seems like a logical choice, along with Aim While Going Prone and Flinch Resistance. This does mean that you will need to be more stationary, as this handle negatively affects your Sprint to Fire Time and Shooting Movement Speed.

And that's it, this is our perfect Krig 6 build for Cold War Season 2 Reloaded. This build is excellent for both midrange and close-quarter encounters, but the best thing is that it will serve you well even at longer ranges from time to time, provided your aiming is good.

With all the buffs and improvements the weapon received with the mid-season update, we think that it might just be the best assault rifle in the game currently!
