Cold War March 18 patch notes: E-Tool buff, new modes, playlists changes, more

Black Ops Cold War developer Treyarch has just released the latest update for the game.

The 18th March update introduces the classic Stockpile mode, coming for the first time in Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer, along with the Knife Fight 3v3 release, an exciting mode that features rotating melee Blueprint loadouts.

The big "star" of this update is the new melee weapon, E-Tool. Treyarch explains that while the weapon is quite popular in Zombies mode, people are not really sure if it's good enough in standard multiplayer and that's why they have decided to give a few buffs to the weapon.

Starting from today, the E-Tool is now a 1-hit kill weapon in multiplayer, which will make it a really interesting choice. This goes in addition to a faster melee swipe and movement speed while you have the E-Tool equipped.

Finally, the update brings a few playlist changes and well as new league play maps.

Weapons

• E-Tool
  • Changed from 2-hit to 1-hit kill.
  • Reduced melee swipe time.
  • Slightly increased movement speed boost.

Modes

• Stockpile
  • Eliminate enemies to pick up dog tags and deposit your stash at the objective to earn points for your team.
  • First team to reach the score limit wins.
• Knife Fight 3v3
  • 3v3 Gunfight with rotating randomized loadouts featuring Blueprint versions of the Machete, Wakizashi, Sledgehammer, E-Tool, and Knife.
  • First team to win six rounds wins the match.
• Combined Arms Moshpit
  • New Quick Play playlist featuring Combined Arms: Hardpoint, Combined Arms: Domination, and Combined Arms: Assault.
