COD Mobile 2022 AR tier list - Every assault rifle ranked from best to worst for Season 2

COD Mobile 2022 AR tier list - Every assault rifle ranked from best to worst for Season 2

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 2 Task Force 141 has arrived and boasts a massive library of content, ranging from new maps, guns and fixes to weapon balance changes, including nerfs and buffs to the Type 25, AK47, Kilo 141, Peacekeeper MK2 and HBRa3.

Beyond this, the seasonal update brings Hardhat to the multiplayer map roster and debuts the JAK-12 to the Season 2 shotgun armoury, triggering mass excitement among players. Naturally, players will be seeking out the best weapons and equipment available in preparing for themed events like the newest Counter Intel or simply trying to earn some dubs in Battle Royale or Multiplayer.

As we do it every season, we will go through the full roster of different classes to tell you which guns to wield in battle. So, as our first order of business, here's our tier list of the best assault rifles available in COD Mobile Season 2, ranked from best to worst.

COD Mobile Season 2 Task Force 141 - Assault Rifle tier list

Assault rifles are all-purpose guns and are the most-used class in the game. Additionally, weapons can be tailored to various use cases depending on the attachments and loadout.

Season 2: Task Force 141 will bring a boatload of changes to weapons, vehicles and new maps as well.

Note: Our tier lists are not an exact science; however, we do strive to make our AR list as accurate as humanly possible.

Description of the tiers

  • S-Tier: Even without the perfect loadout, the S-Tier assault rifles in COD Mobile Season 2 2022 are considered the best of the best. You can't go wrong with these meta weapons.
  • A-Tier: With the right attachments and a great loadout that suits your playstyle, the A-Tier assault rifles can compete with the S-Tier.
  • B-Tier: These ARs can still pack a punch with the perfect loadout and should be considered average.
  • C-Tier: Weapons in this tier are only effective in specific situations or for particular playstyles. You will require the perfect loadout to get the job done.
  • D-Tier: The trash tier. You would be better off simply going for one of the other assault rifles on this list.

There's a total of 21 assault rifles in COD Mobile. After Season 1: Heist introduced the Kilo 141 AR, it was fair to assume that Season 2 would not introduce any new assault rifles to the inventory. Indeed, this was so; however, the patch did introduce balance changes to the Type 25, AK47, Kilo 141, Peacekeeper MK2 and HBRa3.

S-Tier

COD Mobile Season 2 M13 AR
The M13 was buffed in Season 1 and remains a potent choice in COD Mobile Season 2 Task Force 141.
  • Kilo 141
  • M13
  • AS-VAL
  • DR-H
  • LK24
  • Type 25

Last season, the Kilo 141 quickly became the newest meta assault rifle in COD Mobile. Its impressive combination of firepower and fire rate allowed it to compete with seasoned veterans like the DR-H or the M13. Notably, this season's patch only decreased its recoil magnitude.

Speaking of the devil, as you may recall, during last season's patch notes, the developers balanced the acceleration of the M13 with its running speed, which continues to make it an easy choice, especially for new players.

Notably, Type 25 received balance changes to flinch (+15%), bullet spread (+25%), reload time (+0.25s Tactical Reload, +0.22s Full Reload) and attachment changes (42 Rnd Fast Reload and 46 Rnd Extended Mag).

A-Tier

COD Mobile Season 2 HBRa3 AR
The HBRa3 gun surges to our A-tier list in COD Mobile Season 2 after receiving significant buffs.
  • HBRa3
  • Swordfish
  • KN44
  • AK-117
  • Man-O-War

The Man-O-War was once considered the best weapon in the game. Indeed, this status lasted for some time before Activision included newer, better guns in the game, which provoked this AR to start dropping from the ranks.

Now that doesn’t take away the fact that the Man-O-War is still a deadly weapon in the right hands; however, it has skipped a few beats compared to those in the S-Tier rank.

The HBRa3 received some crazy buffs.

Interestingly, the HBRa3 has some hopes of making it out of the abyss after receiving some buffs in COD Mobile Season 2.

In particular, the HBRa3 received improvements to its Headshot and Chest multipliers (1.3x, 1.2x, respectively). Additionally, the gun's reloading speed and range were increased substantially, and it received a new unique attachment, Thunderbolt Sling.

We have yet to see how the HBRa3 will pan out this season; however, it could surge to the S-tier meta tier this season. So we'll continue to monitor it throughout the season.

B-Tier

COD Mobile Season 2 Peacekeeper MK2 AR
The Peacekeeper MK2’s best feature is probably its name since it does not excel in any other department.
  • Peacekeeper MK2
  • CR-56 AMAX
  • ASM-10
  • AK-47
  • HVK-30
  • BK57

We start to enter the realm of mediocrity, as most of these weapons will function best only when you have no other options available or if any of the previous weapons do not fit your playstyle.

Although a couple of guns here, like the Peacekeeper MK2 or the AK-47, received some buffs for Season 2, we will have to test them further to see if any of them deserve a jump in this tier list.

In particular, the AK47 received moderate improvements to the Chest and Upper Arm multipliers, from 1.0x to 1.1x and buffs to the 5.45 Rnd Mag. In addition, the Peacekeeper MK2 received enhancements to horizontal recoil.

C-Tier

assault rifle meta weapons cod mobile season 2
The FR.556 is not recommended in COD Mobile Season 2 2022.
  • ICR-1
  • FR.556

We recommend that you stay away from any weapons listed from this point forward.

D-Tier

COD Mobile Season 2 M16 AR
The only difference between the M16 and your bare fists is that you will have to carry a heavy weapon before you die.
  • M4
  • M16

The best part of this section of the list is that they have the shortest names of the whole bunch, which saves us a lot of characters, but please avoid these weapons at all costs.

The M4 and the M16 are sluggish, unreliable weapons that will make you question why you even keep playing this game.

And that's it. We've reached the end of our assault rifle tier list for COD Mobile Season 2: Task Force 141. As we continue playing the game, we will adjust this list as needed throughout the season.
