CS:GO pro Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora has signed a new 3-year contract with Ninjas in Pyjamas which will see him playing with the Swedish organisation until 2023.

17-year old Plopski quickly became a fan favourite after signing for NiP in July of last year, and the organisation will be pleased to have tied down one of Counter-Strike's most promising riflers.

“Having Nico here the next 3 years makes me absolutely thrilled. He's obviously one of the biggest talents around, and an incredibly nice person and teammate at the same time. I am sure he will play an integral part in our new era and I look forward to working even more with him.” - Jonas Gundersen, COO of Ninjas in Pyjamas

Plopski resigns at a time when NiP are rebuilding their squad. The team he has committed to is very different from the one he joined back in July, with a number of high profile players being released or making moves to other teams.

That includes NiP's two most iconic players Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund (29) who left in September and Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg (31) who left in January. They were replaced with Simon "twist" Eliasson (25) and Tim "nawwk" Jonasson (22). Plopski and nawwk have previously played together at x6tence Galaxy.

f0rest and GeT_RiGhT were integral parts of one of the greatest CS:GO teams ever when in a period between August 2012 to March 2013 they went 87 games unbeaten at LAN events. But those days were long gone, and in recent years they had struggled to make an impact. Alesund and f0rest would later find themselves reunited at Dignitas.

There have also been changes in the coaching side with Faruk "pita" Pita leaving and Björn "THREAT" Pers promoted to head coach.

With the average age of the roster coming down drastically NiP and their fans will hope they have built a squad than can see them challenge in 2020 and beyond

The current NiP roster is Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora, Simon "twist" Eliasson, Tim "nawwk" Jonasson, Fedrik "REZ" Sterner, and Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson. They are next expected to be in action at the Intel Extreme Masters XIV - World Championship which kicks off on the 25th February.
