Cyberpunk 2077 First Expansion Story Leaked Online

Data miners have leaked the story of the upcoming first expansion of Cyberpunk 2077 online, giving fans a tease of what the new DLC will be all about. The upcoming first DLC was already confirmed by CD Projekt Red and till now not much has been shared about the expansion by the company.

However, this new leak seems to change all of that as it allegedly reveals all the different game lines and missions for the expansion. The leak happened over at Reddit and was accidentally added into the game files with the last patch 1.5. Here's all you need to know about the freshly leaked Cyberpunk 2077 first expansion.

Cyberpunk 2077 First Expansion Story Leaked Online

The first Cyberpunk expansion is set to release in 2023 and while the base game met with a poor launch CDPR has been fixing the game update by update. Recently, the content surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 first expansion was leaked initially by a Reddit user going by the username r/ff06b5 but was then taken down. However, a few players managed to copy the file and repost it on the social media platform again.

It is being said that the developers mistakenly added the files with update 1.5 and some users have managed to dig them out and shared them online. The new post via u/Nihas0 shares the entire lines and dialogues from the first expansion of the game, meaning players can download the files for themselves and check out the game files for themselves. 

Reddit users also revealed that the new Cyberpunk 2077 DLC expansion seems to take place in Combat Zone an area in Pacifica (the inaccessible region between the highway and the main street in the base game). Several lines of dialogue that have appeared evidently outline the whole plot of the DLC’s questline.

The DLC will follow the journey of Songbird, a character that was initially datamined from the original game and includes a finished model. From the leak, it looks like the expansion will comprise seven main missions. There will also be Sports Dome, the large inaccessible arena from the base game to check out and will also be the location of one of the main missions in the expansion.

For those wondering whether the famous band boy Johnny Silverhand will return or not, the answer is somewhat. As per the leaked files, there seems to be little dialogue featuring Johnny Silverhand, the character played by the legendary actor Keanu Reeves. Although, it's unclear whether it's because Reeves was unable to record new lines or the story just doesn't need the character for the whole experience.

The DLC does seem to switch some of the dialogue in the game’s ending sequence. While the changes aren’t anything significant, events in the DLC (including the ending of the Songbird arc which we are not going to mention here) are mentioned by both the main character and Johnny.

Reddit users theorize that the files appear to verify that the expansion will have fixer quests, world stories and new world encounters, along with the seven main missions. It's also being said that the leaked files aren't complete and there are many side missions with just a placeholder text.
