How To Find & Use The Royal Tools In Disney Dreamlight Valley

Here's how you can make your journey easier with our guide on how to find and use all of the Royal Tools in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How To Find & Use The Royal Tools In Disney Dreamlight Valley

When starting your journey through the vast land of Disney Dreamlight Valley, you'll find that magic can get you out of most pickles, but not all of them, and you'll need some extra equipment to help you get the job done. This is where the Royal Tools come into play, and finding them is one of the first tasks you're given in the game.

So this guide will be focused on showing you exactly how to find and use each of the Royal Tools in Disney Dreamlight Valley. So without further delay, let's jump right in.

How To Find & Use The Pickaxe In Dreamlight Valley

One of the first Royal Tools you'll encounter in Disney Dreamlight Valley is the pickaxe. In the southeast corner of the Plaza, directly behind the house that Scrooge McDuck is standing in front of, is where you can find the Royal Tool.

The Plaza will become illuminated once you have found the Pickaxe. And this Royal Tool can then be used to mine minerals, and rocks, and to remove any obstacles in your path. We've also put together a previous guide detailing how to get the Pickaxe in more detail that you can check out.

How To Find & Use The Watering Can In Dreamlight Valley

The area just behind your house, from which you recently cleared of thorns, and just next to Merlin, which is where you can find the Watering Can. It might be hidden by a few broken barrels, but with your other new Royal Tools, you can easily remove these.

The Watering Can is used to water your plants after being retrieved. And helps keep your crops nourished for a fruitful harvest when the time comes.

How To Find & Use The Shovel In Dreamlight Valley

The Shovel is the next establishment and is located next to Chez Remy, a Ratatouille restaurant, in the northeast corner of the plaza. Once it has been obtained, the Shovel can be used to remove additional obstacles you may encounter while on your adventure and can also be used to prepare the soil for plants.

So be sure to use this when you're getting your garden ready for a hefty bout of farming and stocking up on supplies.

How To Find & Use The Fishing Rod In Dreamlight Valley

We've put together a full guide on how to unlock the fishing rod and how to begin fishing previously. But we will walk you through everything you need to know to get it here as well.

You can only get to the Fishing Rod after getting the Pickaxe back. Make your way through the Peaceful Meadow by using the Pickaxe and moving south from the Plaza you are currently in. After that, you'll come across a small pond where you can grab the fishing pole, but it's broken.

By bringing the broken rod to Goofy's house near the pond, you can begin the Fishing Expedition quest. To complete the quest, you must go fishing with Goofy and repair his stall after he replaces your broken rod with a fully functional one.

To fish using the Fishing Rod, you'll need to interact with the bubbling water in different bodies of water around Dreamlight Valley. After doing this, you have to match a mini-timed event and do so as successfully as possible to yield the best catches.
