How To Make Extra Fizzy Root Beer In Disney Dreamlight Valley

There is plenty of new content to enjoy with the new Scar's Kingdom Update now live in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In particular, this patch introduces a lengthy main quest called Nature and Nurture, tasking you to make some delicious Extra Fizzy Root Beer as you progress through it.

Understandably, crafting this new recipe can confuse some players as it requires several new ingredients also introduced in the update. But don't fret because this guide has you covered. Below you can find all the details you need on how to make Extra Fizzy Root Beer in Disney Dreamlight Valley. 

Disney Dreamlight Valley - Extra Fizzy Root Beer Ingredients

Extra Fizzy Root Beer is a relatively simple recipe compared to several other recipes in the game. Still, it can be slightly confusing for players as the game's instructions obfuscate some crucial information (more on that later). For now, you'll need the following ingredient to make Extra Fizzy Root Beer:

• x1 Dried Ginger

• x1 Sugarcane

• x1 Vanilla

You can find the Dried Ginger by venturing through Scar's Nature & Nurture quest line. Once you're in the mines, look around for the page lying on the ground. Once you find it, you'll receive the Dried Ginger.

On the other hand, you'll find Vanilla growing on the floor in the Sunlit Plateau, similar to how herbs grow in other areas of Disney Dreamlight Valley. Then for the Sugarcane ingredient, go to Dazzle Beach and purchase some seeds or outright buy the ingredient from one of Goofy's Stalls.

Disney Dreamlight Valley - How to Make Extra Fizzy Root Beer 

Once you've acquired all the necessary ingredients, the next step is to combine them to make the Extra Fizzy Root Beer at the Cooking Station. Admittedly, this is where things get a bit tricky -- you might notice that when you try cooking the item, the only recipe that pops up is the normal Root Beer recipe. Uh oh! What should you do?

There is no prompt to make the "Extra Fizzy Root Beer," so you could easily be bamboozled into making regular Root Beer instead. Well, the solution to this issue is that when making the item, you must ensure you use Dried Ginger and not normal Ginger. 

Doing this will guarantee that the result you end up with is the Extra Fizzy version of the beverage. We also recommend that you don't use "Autofill'' when cooking this recipe, as it will automatically use the normal Ginger, thus wasting your other ingredients.

It's worth mentioning that you won't need to make Extra Fizzy Root Beer after crafting it for the first time because the Dried Ginger you obtained from the mine is the only one in the game (it is also not listed under the Ingredients section).

Also, note that there might be a bug that causes ordinary Root Beer to be produced instead of the Extra Fizzy variant when attempting to make it for Scar's Nature and Nurture Quest. However, according to user DrumstickLolly8989 on the Disney Dreamlight Valley subreddit, restarting the game will put the dried Ginger you get on Scar's quest back into your backpack.

Finally, once you have made the Extra Fizzy Root Beer, you can return to the mine to complete this stage of the Nature and Nurture quest. You can do this by planting the Extra Fizzy Root Beer and Crackling Candies you also find in the cave into a barrel to restore the water flow inside.
