The Crota's End Raid in Destiny 2 has been out for a short while now and with the dust settling, we now know what loot drops from each encounter. While players are out looking to procure their guaranteed drops or trying to farm encounters for the weapons and armor they're looking for, you can take solace in knowing that our breakdown will help to guide your efforts.
Crota's End, being a reprised Raid, brings some classic Destiny 1 Raid weapons back into the fold. In Destiny 2. Some of these weapons have received some gentle changes, such as changing their elemental affinities to Strand, rather than keeping their Kinetic origins. The return of Crota's End also means the return of the Exotic Auto Rifle Nechrochasm. Let's take a look at how to get your hands on exactly what you're looking for in the Crota's End Raid in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 Crota's End Raid Overview
Crota's End has four lootable encounters for players to grind their way through as well as a smattering of Secret Chests for players to find. While most of these encounters have retained their Destiny 1 mechanics at heart, there have been some changes to keep things interesting. The best part of this Raid's reprisal is the return of the Age of Triumph armor set from Destiny 1's final leg. Rather than the original Raid releases' armor aesthetic, which was relatively plain by modern Destiny's standards, the Age of Triumph armor packs an extra layer of hotness that Guardians everywhere are clamoring for.
On top of the Age of Triumph armor making its return, Crota's End does bring Nechrochasm into the modern era without much of a change from the previous game's version. Those looking to get their hands on it only need to complete the raid to get the Eoxtic Quest that will kick off the path to acquiring Noechrochasm. Whether you're looking for weapons or armor, here's a breakdown of each encounter's loot so you can focus farm exactly what you want in Crota's End.

The Abyss Encounter Loot
After you've built the bridge to go down into the Hellmouth, you'll enter The Abyss. This labyrinth is full of dangerous enemies, engaging mechanics, and even a Secret Chest! Keep on your toes and try to avoid pulling out an Eager Edge Sword. That lock-on is deadly and just might cause a wipe. I'm partial to the Fang of Ir Yût Strand Scout Rifle here and a chance at the Class Item.
Weapons | Armor |
Fang of Ir Yût (Strand Scout Rifle) | Deathsinger’s Mantle (Chest Armor) |
Abyss Defiant (Solar Auto Rifle) | Deathsinger’s Herald (Leg Armor) |
Song of Ir Yût (Arc Heavy Machine Gun) | Bone Circlet (Class Item) |

The Oversoul Bridge Encounter Loot
This encounter will make or break teams and packs a bit more challenge than in Destiny 1. Stay sharp, don't panic, and make sure to take out your Knights as soon as you can. Don't cause a wipe because you get cocky here; everyone has a job to do and no one's getting across that bridge without doing it. Don't forget to catch the hidden chest at the end of the Shrieker hallway! Keep an eye out for your first chance at the Swordbreaker Strand Shotty once you're done!
Weapons | Armor |
Fang of Ir Yût (Strand Scout Rifle) | Deathsinger’s Mantle (Chest Armor) |
Oversoul Edict (Arc Pulse Rifle) | Deathsinger’s Grip (Gauntlet Armor) |
Swordbreaker (Strand Shotgun) | - |

Ir Yût, The Deathsinger Encounter Loot
Ir Yût packs a bit of a punch and unless you really know how to read the radar, it's best to leave the towers to the more experienced Guardians among you. Same thing as the previous encounter, just make sure you're staying on top of your role in this fight and things will go just fine. This is another chance at some Chest and Gauntlet armor as well as your first rolls on Word of Crota!
Weapons | Armor |
Oversoul Edict (Arc Pulse Rifle) | Deathsinger’s Mantle (Chest Armor) |
Word of Crota (Void Hand Cannon) | Deathsinger’s Grip (Gauntlet Armor) |
Song of Ir Yût (Arc Heavy Machine Gun) | - |

Crota, Son of Oryx Encounter Loot
You've made it Guardian, welcome to the heart of the Throne World, the son of the mighty Taken King himself: Crota. The mechanics are fairly similar to the original Destiny 1 version of this fight with a twist here and there, so if you're not too sure how to get the ball rolling, there's no shame in checking out a Datto video guide on how to tackle the prodigal son. Get through this and you'll land your Exotic Quest for Nechrochasm! This is also the only encounter that can drop the Helmet for the Raid Armor set, so cross your fingers, Guardian!
Weapons | Armor |
Bottomless Pit Exotic Quest (Nechrochasm) | Deathsinger’s Gaze (Helmet Armor) |
Abyss Defiant (Solar Auto Rifle) | Deathsinger’s Grip (Gauntlet Armor) |
Word of Crota (Void Hand Cannon) | Bone Circlet (Class Item) |
Swordbreaker (Strand Shotgun) | - |

Crota's End Exotic Items

- War's Lament Exotic Ship
