How to complete the Best In Class quest in Destiny 2

A step-by-step guide to completing Destiny 2's Best In Class quest in 2022 Guardian Games.
How to complete the Best In Class quest in Destiny 2

The final weeks of Season of the Risen have kicked off with Destiny 2's Guardian Games making a return. The easy-going PvE event pits all Classes against one another in a friendly competition to see who comes out on top.

Players can earn new gear and weapons, such as The Title SMG, which comes with a unique Origin Trait that makes the time it takes to farm it worthwhile on its own.

There's also a new quest, Best In Class, which serves as an introduction to Guardian Games newcomers. While it's easy to complete, there are quite a few steps to get through regardless.

With this guide, we'll make your life even easier so you can focus on enjoying the rest of the activities Guardian Games has to offer to all Destiny 2 players.

Best in Class Destiny 2 quest guide

There are a total of nine steps in Best in Class. Let's walk you through all of them.

Step 1 - Purchase a Contender Card

The first step is to simply head to The Tower, speak with Eva Levante and purchase a Contender Card.

These cards allow you to earn Medallions depending on their difficulty, they also grant Class progress upon completion. There are several types, including ones focused on Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit. Easier ones cost 100 Laurels, harder ones have a 200 Laurels cost.

Step 2 - Earn Laurels and Medallions

For this step, you need to earn a total of 10 Laurels. These are super easy to farm, you need to kill enemies with your class abilities, whether that's Melee or Grenades.

Medallions can be earned by completing in-game activities like Strikes, Battlegrounds or Contender Cards.

Step 3 - Speak with Eva Levante

Easy step. Go back to The Tower and speak with Eva Levante, she'll give you the Medallion Case to track your progress during the Guardian Games.

Now on to the next step.

Step 4 - Deposit your Medallion at the Guardian Games podium

That medallion you earned on step 2? It's time to deposit it on the big podium that's right behind Eva Levante at The Tower.

Not much else to this.

Step 5 - Speak with Eva Levante

Once again, it's time to go back with Eva, she'll send you on your way to speak with Commander Zavala and hand you a brand-new quest, Medallion Battalion.

We'll have a guide for that pretty soon so stay tuned.

Step 6 - Speak with Commander Zavala

Talking with Commander Zavala will grant you access to the Guardian Games: Recreational Playlist.

You'll need to access that activity for the next step.

Step 7 - Complete activities in the Guardian Games: Recreational Playlist

You can boot up the playlist from The Tower. You'll earn Vanguard Medals by completing activities inside the playlist.

Simply have a go at the activity and you'll get this step done in no time.

Step 8 - Speak with Commander Zavala

Talk to Zavala once more to complete this step. This will grant you the Shoot to Score quest and access to the Guardian Games: Training Playlist.

Step 9 - Speak with Eva Levante

The final step is simply talking with Eva once again to collect your hard-earned reward, The Title SMG!
