Destiny 2 Marionberry error code - How to fix

Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted enters its third week as Bungie gears up to deploy another update ahead of the weekly reset. As it turns out, some players are now unable to log into the game. One of the reasons could be the infamous error code Marionberry.

Like most Destiny 2 errors, Marionberry makes the game unplayable, which, as you can expect, is frustrating, especially since a new Destiny Season just arrived, bringing in new activities to complete and loot to pursue.

If you're experiencing this error code, don't fret. Here's our guide, which explains how to fix the error code Marionberry in Destiny 2.

What is the error code Marionberry in Destiny 2?

According to Bungie, the error code Marionberry occurs when there is "a problem with your networking setup." It mainly happens due to a WiFi blip or when someone changes parental control settings on your home network or console/PC.

As evident, the Marionberry error occurs primarily due to a fault in your network or router and has little to nothing to do with Bungie or the game itself.

To fix the error code Marionberry, you must reboot your router. Bungie has enlisted several ways to reboot or power cycle your modem or router.

  • Log off of Destiny
  • Turn off your PlayStation or Xbox console
  • Power-cycle your networking hardware (router, modem, etc.) by turning each item off, then waiting 30 seconds before turning them back on one by one, beginning with your modem
  • Once your home network is back up, turn on your PlayStation or Xbox console and relaunch Destiny

Following these steps should fix the error code Marionberry and get you back to the game. Coincidentally, at the time of this writing, many players are having trouble logging in to Destiny 2. While there is no particular explanation for this, Bungie has acknowledged the issue and is working to resolve this issue. That concludes our guide on how to fix the error code Marionberry in Destiny 2.
