When Does Destiny 2 Season Of Defiance Start?

Like most live-service games, Destiny 2 follows a seasonal pattern, with four seasons each year. Bungie is committed to making every Destiny 2 season feel unique, basing them on different themes. However, structurally they all still feel the same, especially if you consider the seasonal activities and the battle pass. 

The next Destiny 2 season is now on the horizon, and Bungie has confirmed it's called Season of Defiance. But when does Season of Defiance kicks off? Read on to find out. 

Destiny 2 Season of Defiance Start Time

Destiny 2 Season of Defiance starts on 28th February 2023. The update usually arrives at the daily reset, which occurs at 10 AM PT / 5 PM UTC. Also, since it's a new season, there might be a queue when you log in for the first time.

Most Destiny 2 seasons are three months long, so expect this one to end on 31st May 2023. Like previous seasons, Season of Defiance should also have a free season pass and a premium season pass for you to progress. There should also be a new batch of seasonal challenges and triumphs. 

While Bungie hasn't released more concrete details about Season of Defiance, it did reveal the key art, which suggests the return of Queen Mara Sov. We also got a glimpse of some of the seasonal gear that will be coming in Season of the Defiance. 

And that's pretty much it! Bungie tends to release new Destiny 2 season trailers a day before their launches, so don't expect anything major until perhaps 27th February 2023.
