Are you looking to increase the power of your build in Diablo 3 Season 30 by adding the Shard of Hatred Soul Shard to your arsenal? Then we've got you covered!

In this guide, we outline how you can get the Diablo 3 Shard of Hatred, which slot you can add it to, its stats and powerful effects, and how you can upgrade it with ease, so let's leap in!

Getting a Shard of Hatred to drop doesn't have to cause a headache...(Picture: Blizzard)

First, a bit of lore text to get the blood flowing:

The corrupted Zakarum priests sacrificed anyone passing nearby Travincal, filling the Durance under the temple with discarded offerings to Mephisto.

The Shard of Hatred is a Prime Evil Soul Shard in Diablo 3, which means you can only add it to an open gem slot on a Helm/Headpiece.

For the best chance of getting the Shard of Hatred Soul Shard in Diablo 3 Season 30, you must therefore kill the following bosses:

  • Urzael
  • Adria
  • Malthael

Keep in mind that you do not need to be level 70 to get a Shard of Hatred drop and that the item can drop anywhere in the world, just at a lower rate.

For those who don't want to kill the Act V bosses, you can also farm Greater Rifts and slay Rift Guardians, who have an increased chance of dropping any of the Soul Shards in Diablo 3 Season 30.

Diablo 3 Shard of Hatred Stats & Powers

Blizzard has provided a precise outline of the Shard of Hatred stats and powers/effects in Diablo 3 Season 30, which you can view below.

  • Base Power: You deal 15% reduced damage while you have 3 or fewer enemies within 25 yards. If more than 3 enemies are within the same distance, you deal 5% increased damage per enemy (to a maximum of 50%).
  • Additional Powers:
    • Killing an elite enemy pulls all enemies within 40 yards to where the elite died.
    • Your Movement speed is increased by 50%. Each enemy within 25 yards reduces your movement speed by 10% up to 70%.
    • You now deal 15% 10% increased damage for every enemy instead of 5% (to a maximum of 100%).

With each upgrade, the Shard of Hatred gets even more powerful!
