The Dota 2 International 10 is around the corner and twelve Dota 2 pro teams have secured a direct invitation to compete at the $40 million prestigious event.
The International 10: Twelve Dota 2 teams have qualified

The Dota 2 International 10 (TI10) kicks off between 5-15 August and includes a prize pool of over 40 million USD. This prestigious annual event will comprise twelve teams, who have secured a direct invitation through the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), along with six regional qualifiers determined later this month.

The best part is that you need not wait for the conclusion of the WePlay Dota 2 AniMajor Playoffs to find out which twelve teams were invited. Following tremendous tension and uncertainty regarding which Dota 2 pro teams would place in the 9th to 13th spots on the DPC leaderboards, we finally have the answer.

AniMajor Playoffs Determine 12 Qualifying Teams

By the end of the AniMajor Lower Bracket Playoffs, four teams were tied for the 9th to 12th spot on the DPC leaderboard, each with 800 DPC points.

These teams were Alliance, Team Aster, Beastcoasts and Thunder Predators. Each of these teams were eliminated from the Playoffs and their placements were solely determined by the results of the remaining matches.

Team Nigma could have secured a direct invitation if they made it to the WePlay AniMajor Grand Finals; however, this dream slowly faded, following a disappointing run against Evil Geniuses at the AniMajor Playoffs, this weekend. Along with their hopes of being crowned WePlay Dota 2 AniMajor champions, their dream of securing a direct invite to TI10 were also flushed right down the toilet.

You can watch the match, which ended in a 2-0 stomp, in the video below.

Needless to say, the Dota 2 TI10 Regional Qualifiers promises to be a banger. In particular, we look forward to watching the European regional qualifiers, which will include giants OG, Team Liquid and now Team Nigma, battling for the single wildcard spot at TI.

Which of these teams do you think will make it through?
