Dragon's Dogma 2 Release Date Speculation & Platforms

At the time of writing, there is no official confirmed release date for Dragon's Dogma 2, but in this article, you’ll find all (if any) information that the developer shared, as well as some speculation from Ginx on when we could see it launch.
If we look at Capcom veteran and Dragon’s Dogma Game Director Hideaki Itsuno's previous title and when it was announced, we might have a guestimate about the release window of Dragon's Dogma 2.
Devil May Cry 5 was announced in June 2018 and released in March 2019, so less than a year. Therefore, Dragon's Dogma 2 may have a release goal of Q1 or Q2 2023, but it could be much later.
Nothing has been revealed so far regarding the platforms on which the game will be released. However, we expect Dragon's Dogma to release on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, PC, and Switch, as there is no word on any exclusivity deal.
How Long Has Dragon's Dogma 2 Been in Development?

Since Devil May Cry 5 was released in March 2019, the development of Dragon's Dogma 2 has likely been going on for over three years, as Hideaki Itsuno hasn't been named in any other projects.
We do need to consider that development might have only started after the release of Devil May Cry 5's Special Edition in November 2020.
The "10 Years of Dragon's Dogma" video above, which, in the end, features the long-awaited announcement from Hideaki Itsuno, which he dramatically takes off his jacket to reveal a Dragon's Dogma 2 t-shirt.
The only thing we know for sure is that the game IS in development, but at which stage of development remains uncertain. We can't help but wonder if we will hear more about Dragon's Dogma at The Game Awards 2022, taking place on 8th December.
Dragon's Dogma 2 Uses RE Engine
The RE Engine is an absolute beast of a development toolset that powers the likes of Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil Village.
Hideaki Itsuno's last game, Devil May Cry 5, was built on the engine to great success. Therefore, we are excited to share that RE Engine will be used for Dragon's Dogma 2, as per an announcement by the game's official Twitter account.
Dragon's Dogma 2 Dev Team

Apart from the legendary Hideaki Itsuno as the Dragon's Dogma 2 Game Director, a few other veterans appear to be returning to work on the sequel.
The original game's Art Director (Daigo Ikeno) and Level Designer (Kenichi Suzuki) joined Hideaki Itsuno in the announcement video, and they all looked super excited!
Dragon's Dogma 2 News Details

Since then, there hasn't been official news or credible leaks unless you count the now-deleted 4chan post back in July 2021. View a screenshot of the post below.
