Hitmarker launches equity crowdfunding campaign

Hitmarker, the largest jobs platform in esports, today announced the public launch of its seedinvestment round. The company will use all capital raised to expand into the wider video gameindustry by creating a much-needed centralised hub of jobs for that market.

Now live on equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube.com, Newcastle upon Tyne-based Hitmarker’s seed investment round has a minimum target amount of £80,000, offered in return for 4% of equity, and a maximum target amount of £200,000, offered in return for 10% of equity. The company has already raised over £32,000 during its exclusive early access phase, achieving more than 40% of its target. Interested parties are invited to visit Hitmarker’s pitch page to access its business plan and financial documents before deciding whether to partake in the round.

The minimum investment amount is £10, all major credit and debit cards are accepted, and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) tax relief of 50% is available to investors from the UK.

Only accredited investors from Canada, Japan and the USA who are able to pledge $20,000+ (USD) canparticipate at this time, but Hitmarker will be conducting a separate follow-on raise on a different crowdfunding platform following the completion of this one to cater to people in those locations.

With more than 33,000 registered users, including more than 2,300 hiring companies, Hitmarker is already the global leader in esports jobs. The company now plans to immediately broaden its offering to cater to the entire video game industry, which analytics company Newzoo predicts will generate $152 billion in 2019. Having led the esports hiring market for two years now, Hitmarker expects to quickly become the centralised location of jobs for the gaming industry, creating enormous new revenue potential for the business.

Here at Ginx, we have used the platform to advertise multiple positions in the company that have been filled thanks to Hitmarker's position in the esports job market.
