When you are playing Fallout 76, understanding the natural resources that are around you is essential to gameplay. Natural resources like copper have a wide range of uses in Fallout 76. That is because one of the key mechanics in the game is crafting. Without crafting, your experience in Fallout 76 will be much worse than those who have mastered it.

One of the best materials that players can use in crafting is aluminum. That is because Aluminum is used to upgrade and modify both weapons and armor, including power armor. It can be argued that aluminum is just as important of a crafting component as lead is. Here, we are going to teach you how to farm aluminum in the most efficient way in Fallout 76.

There is an abundance of Aluminum in Fallout 76. Although it is listed as an uncommon resource, it is actually not that hard to find. There are plenty of items in Fallout 76 that can be broken down into aluminum. Here is a list of items that can be scrapped down into aluminum scraps:

  • Any item with the word "Aluminum"
  • Coffee tins
  • Hubcaps
  • Cans
  • Sensors
  • Toy rocketships
  • Ski poles
  • Steel guitars
  • Alarm clocks

Players should be looking around houses and other buildings to find these items to scrap them into useable aluminum. On top of the items listed above, players can also find aluminum veins and aluminum ores as well. Both will yield a high number of aluminum for players to use in whatever crafting project they are undergoing.

There are plenty of places that have aluminum that is waiting to be farmed in Appalachia. But the single best place to farm aluminum is the Abandoned Mine Shaft 1. There are a lot of aluminum veins there and they are pretty easy to get to. Another good choice would be either Big Bend Tunnel westside or eastside and the Garrahan Estate. Both of these locations will have a large number of aluminum veins.

No matter which site you decide to go to farm aluminum, you will need to bring the Excavator Power Armor. This power armor will allow players to farm more aluminum from veins than they normally would be able to. So before farming aluminum, make sure you get this power armor to maximize your aluminum farming experience.
