The First Descendant: Will Beta Progress Carry Over?
Nexon Games

The First Descendant open beta is well underway, and there's a ton of grinding to do. Whether it's for acquiring Ultimate weapons or new Descendants, you will spend hours scrounging for research materials in the game's various battlefields.

The grind shouldn't come off as surprising if you have played similarly structured free-to-play titles like Warframe. However, when you sink so many hours into a game's beta, it's natural to wonder whether the progress you make will carry over to the final game or not. To clear that for you, in this guide, we answer whether the First Descendant open beta progress will carry over to the full game or not.

No, The First Descendant open beta progress won't carry over to the final game. According to the game's official website, "All game data from the Crossplay Open Beta will be reset." This includes all the Descendants and weapons research, cosmetic items, and currencies you gather during the beta.

If it's any consolation,  participating in the beta will get you some rewards that will unlock in the final game. This includes a new emote, a spawn effect, a Bear Back Trophy, and new skins for Viessa, Lepic, Ajax, and Bunny.

While these may not be enough, especially compared to the hours you spend gathering research materials to unlock your next Descendant in the beta, this is how it works for free-to-play titles.
