Foamstars Gets February Release Date

Square Enix's upcoming party shooter, Foamstars, has been given a release date.

Catching players' attentions with its vibrant, foam-filled shooter vibes, Square Enix's Foamstars is finally set for its full release. This 4v4 online shooter has players using foam as their main mode of combat and defense, using it in as many creative ways as they can to win matches.

At launch, Foamstars will have three PvP multiplayer game modes: Smash the Star, Happy Bath Survival, and Rubber Duck Party. Each mode has three maps to play across, randomized at the matchmaking level.

Foamstars will launch on February 6, 2024 exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game will also be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers as part of the services' free monthly game offerings in February at launch, up until March 4.

Players who redeem the game during this promotional period will be able to keep the game in their PlayStation Plus library to play at no extra cost, so long as they have an active PS Plus subscription. 

From March 5, 2024, all players will be able to purchase Foamstars via the PlayStation Store for £24.99, or the regional equivalent. Foamstars will require an active PlayStation Plus subscription in order to be played. 

According to Square Enix, Foamstars will also receive a number of free themed, seasonal updates over the course of the year. These could range from new experiences, cosmetics, characters, maps, game modes, and more. Players will also be able to purchase the optional Premium Season Pass for £4.99 to unlock Season Pass characters and season-specific cosmetics.
