Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 to feature Darth Vader and Indiana Jones

Epic Games is set to feature a new menu of iconic characters next season, following new leaks by YouTuber and reliable leaker Tabor Hill. Accordingly, Star Wars villain Darth Vader and famed adventurer Indiana Jones are confirmed to be joining Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

This latest news comes on the back of a separate leak by reliable source iFireMonkey on 5th April 2022, who listed names of several popular icons featured in the Unreal Engine 5 State of Unreal showcase, including Family Guy, Doom, Indiana Jones and Darth Vader.

Since it's still early days for the leak, it's unclear what role the characters will play in Fortnite's storyline or dialogue; however, their arrival is enough to pique the interest of eager Star Wars and Indiana Jones superfans.

Confirmed: Darth Vader, Indiana Jones to arrive in Fortnite Season 3

Another reliable source, ShiinaBR, confirmed the leak on 9th April 2022 and further noted that Darth Vader, the main antagonist in the original Star Wars trilogy, will debut as the following season's boss battle. Sadly, the season won't be themed accordingly, though.

Indeed, Darth Vader would not be the first icon from the Star War franchise to join Fortnite. In December 2019, Epic Games hosted the Fortnite x Star Wars collaborative event to promote the Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker film.

The event, which took place during Fortnite Winterfest, saw the arrival of the Millennium Falcon and lightsabers to the island, with cosmetics for Finn, Rey and the Sith Trooper arriving too. In addition, Epic Games later introduced new cosmetic outfits for Kylo Ren and Zorii Bliss.

Similarly to previous Fortnite collaborations, this latest leak could mark a crossover with the upcoming Disney Plus series Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi, launching on 27th May 2022. Indeed, this date somewhat coincides with Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3, starting on 4th June 2022.

Notably, the fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones film franchise (yet to be titled) has recently finished filming and is scheduled for release on 30th June 2023 after multiple delays caused by COVID-19. Whether the arrival of Jones to the Fortnite island is connected to the unreleased film is speculative at best but certainly not wholly unwarranted.

Epic Games has not confirmed the arrival of Vader or Indiana Jones; however, it seems highly likely that they will be arriving in Fortnite next season, given confirmation from multiple reliable sources.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Family Guy or Doom. However, we will endeavour to keep you updated regarding any further developments.
