Fortnite Doomsday Device event - Start time, date, leaked details, how to watch

Last week, Epic Games delayed the Fortnite Season 2 Doomsday Device event. Players are anxiously awaiting the event, and everyone is wondering what it might entail.

Epic hasn't disappointed with end-of-season events for Fortnite, so there's ready to get excited. Here's everything we know so far about the Fortnite Season 2 Doomsday Device event.

Fortnite Doomsday Device event date and time

By the time Fortnite Season 3 comes out, players will have been stuck in Season 2 for 118 days. This is the longest-ever wait between seasons, even if Epic sticks to the latest Fortnite Doomsday Device event date and time.

The Fortnite Doomsday Device event date and time is 15th June 2020 at around 19:00 UK time. When the live event finishes up, Season 3 is scheduled to release on 17th June.

What will happen during the Doomsday Event

Midas has been building his Doomsday Device for quite some time now. This device will likely cause a massive storm, and a flood, which means parts of the map, or possibly even the entire map, will be changed.

Leaks suggest The Agency will be changed. The building might explode, or get flooded.

Other theories suggest The Visitor could play a role, and the Fortnite Doomsday event could be linked to the Hydro Dam.

At the time of writing, we are not sure exactly what will happen, but the aftermath will definitely be devastating.

Doomsday Event aftermath leaks

While details about Fortnite Season 3 are as rare as chicken teeth, part of the map will likely be flooded.

The whole Pleasant Park area might change, as The Agency building could be severely damaged, or completely destroyed. This is one of the most popular drop zones currently in the game.

Fortnite Season 3 will likely revolve around water, and a leak even showed the Battle Bus flying above the water.

Lastly, swimming animations have even been added to the game's files in a previous update, as Epic gets ready to unveil the Fortnite Doomsday Device event.
