Epic Games has released the Fortnite 12.41 update, and while the developer doesn't share official patch notes anymore, we've got you covered. The Fortnite 12.41 update features kicks off the Travis Scott Astronomical event and not much else it seems, though the recent leaks suggest new weapons and a swimming mechanic are coming to the game.

Here are all the major changes and additions in the Fortnite 12.41 update.

Travis Scott's Astronomical event

Cactus Jack himself is taking over Fortnite, with the rapper hosting a "one of a kind musical journey" inside which includes the debut of a never-before-released song from Travis Scott. The Astronomical event brings with it a tonne of cosmetics, including skins and emotes.

It is an "other-worldly experience inspired by Cactus Jack's creations," which have been built from the ground up on the Fortnite island, featuring five shows spread out across three days, so all Fortnite players have a chance at checking out the action live in the game from 23rd to 25th April 2020.

The event takes place on stage at Sweaty Sands. This stage has been under construction before the update went live today.

Attending the event live will get you some rewards as well. Anyone who attends the in-game Astronomical event will receive two special loading screens designed for the event. There's also a special Cyclone glider is up for grabs, with a pair of diamond teeth on the front for good measure.

A new Fortnite event wouldn't be complete without some new challenges to partake in, and the Astronomical event is no different.

The final reward for completing the challenges is an emote, depicting Travis Scott's infamous concert image from back in 2017, where he held a mic stand above his head, screaming into the flames.

There's clearly a lot for players to get excited about with the Astronomical event, but that's not the only thing new in the Fortnite 12.41 update.

Bug fixes

Without official patch notes it's not an exact science when guessing what bugs have been fixed but going off the Fortnite Trello board can help get an idea of what to expect. These are the bugs that have recently been getting attention from the Fortnite devs and could be getting fixed in v12.41.
