Fortnite will feature at the Olympic Esports Series 2023 with a unique sport shooting competition, joining nine other games for a thrilling global showdown in Singapore.
Fortnite Joins Olympic Esports Series Lineup For 2023

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced that Epic Games' popular battle royale esports title Fortnite will be added to the inaugural "sport shooting" lineup at the Olympic Esports Series 2023. This addition brings the total number of sports and games involved in the series to ten, with Fortnite's debut marking a significant milestone for esports and gaming as a whole. The Olympic Esports Series 2023, organized by the IOC in collaboration with International Federations (IFs) and game publishers, culminates with the Olympic Esports Finals 2023 in Singapore, taking place from June 22-25 this year.

The "sport shooting" competition, typically reserved for traditional shooting sports like archery, will involve 12 players from the Fortnite Champion Series and will be held on a custom-designed International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Island within Fortnite. The unique island will reflect sport shooting competition, testing players on their target aiming accuracy, similar to physical shooter sports. This groundbreaking addition of Fortnite to the Olympic Esports Series showcases the growing significance of esports in the world of competitive sports, paving the way for a new generation of athletes and fans alike.

Sport shooting in Fortnite joins a diverse lineup of sports for the Olympic Esports Series, including archery (Tic Tac Bow), baseball (WBSC eBaseball™: Power Pros), chess (Chess.com), cycling (Zwift), dance sport (Just Dance), motorsport (Gran Turismo 7), sailing (Virtual Regatta), taekwondo (Virtual Taekwondo), and tennis (Tennis Clash). In addition, the thrilling finals action will be streamed globally on Olympics.com and Olympics social channels. Noteworthy, this event is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or otherwise associated with Epic Games, Inc. All information provided by players in connection with the event will be given to the event organizer and not to Epic Games, Inc.

Tickets are currently available for purchase to attend the Olympic Esports Week in Singapore. General admission tickets start at S$10  (~$7.50 USD) per day, with three-day passes beginning at S$20 (~$15.00 USD). For more information, please read the official IOC press release.
