Genshin Impact 2.1 Phase II: Sangonomiya Kokomi and Epitome Invocation banners revealed

miHoYo has officially revealed their roadmap for Phase II of Genshin’s 2.1 update “Floating World Under the Moonlight”, with some of its features and events arriving very soon to the game.

Let’s take a look at the next two banners announced in their development blog, that will bring the debut of the Divine Priestess from Watatsumi Island, along with a new legendary weapon specially made to boost her power.

Drifting Luminescence - Sangonomiya Kokomi arrives to Genshin Impact

Sangonomiya Kokomi, also known as the “Pearl of Wisdom” will be the featured character for this cycle’s banner, being a powerful five-star Catalyst character, with impressive Hydro abilities that can both fully heal your entire party in a matter of seconds, and deal with hordes of enemies easily.

Together with her addition to the game, the following four-star characters will also have a huge drop rate boost, meaning if you are lucky enough, you can get any of these and upgrade them without wasting too many Primogems.

You can learn more about Sangonomiya Kokomi, along with our recommendations for weapons, artifacts, and even some tips, in our deep character guide.

Epitome Invocation - New Inazuman weapon and the comeback of the Jade Sword

As part of Kokomi’s debut, her signature weapon known as the Everlasting Moonglow will be added into the game, coming with a special passive that increases healings and Normal Attack DMG based on its wielder’s Max HP, while also increasing Energy Recovery after using an Elemental Burst.

In addition, the Primordial Jade Cutter will also be back into the featured weapons banner, a ceremonial sword masterfully carved from pure jade that increases HP and provides an ATK Bonus based on the wielder's Max HP, being a perfect option for characters like Kamisato Ayaka.

During the event wish, the following four-star weapons will have a drop rate boost as well, so if you are looking for any of these for your characters, this is your best chance to get them.

  • The Flute (Sword)
  • Favonius Greatsword (Claymore)
  • Dragon's Bane (Polearm)
  • Favonius Codex (Catalyst)
  • The Stringless (Bow)

Remember that with the arrival of update 2.0, miHoYo introduced the Epitomized Path, a banner mechanic to get five-star weapons in Genshin Impact based on how many pulls you make and which weapon you are looking to get.

That said, bring all the Primogems you have, or start looking for them as fast as you possibly can, as both banners will be available for a limited time, from 21st September until 12th October.
