Genshin Impact Hidden Strife Event – How To Play & Rewards

Genshin Impact's next event, Hidden Strife, will be available in-game shortly as Travelers will take a break from the island activities to visit Mondstadt. This sees you visiting Diluc at the Dawn Winery, but there's an ominous threat lurking that may pose a threat to all.

As the Traveler and Paimon begin investigating the threat, there are several challenges to complete, which you'll be rewarded for your efforts. We've detailed everything about Genshin Impact's Hidden Strife event, including start and end dates, gameplay details, and rewards.

Genshin Impact's Hidden Strife Event – Schedule & Eligibility

The upcoming event for Genshin Impact's 2.8 update, Hidden Strife, will have Travelers paying Diluc yet another visit at the Dawn Winery. It will start on 27th July 2022 and run for two weeks before ending on 15th August 2022 at 3:59 am server time.

Before it becomes available to Travelers, you must attain a few prerequisites for the event to be made available. These prerequisites are the following as listed below:

• Hold an Adventure Rank of 25 and higher
• Have completed the Archon Quest "Prologue: Act III - Song of the Dragon and Freedom"
• Have completed Diluc's Story Quest "Noctua Chapter: Act I - Darknight Hero's Alibi."

Genshin Impact's Hidden Strife event – Gameplay details

Hidden Strife will have several challenges available for Travelers that will unlock daily throughout its duration. According to HoYoverse, seven challenges will be unlocked daily for you to complete and earn rewards.

Once an event challenge becomes available, read through its objectives and complete them to progress into the next day's challenge. Each challenge will have two game modes, "Vicious Battle" and "Dire Straits," in which you can complete its challenges.

The "Vicious Battle" game mode has three difficulties, Perilous, Quandary, and Desperate, made available during the event. All its difficulties will unlock immediately once you've started the daily challenge; however, completing it at a higher difficulty will, by default, complete all lower difficulties.

The "Dire Straits" game mode will only unlock after you have completed a "Vicious Battle" challenge in Desperate difficulty. It will explore the lore behind Diluc's outfit, the 5-star Red Dead of Night, in which they'll be able to try out the outfit during the event.

Genshin Impact's Hidden Strife event – Rewards

According to the details described during the 2.8 Special Program livestream, the event is tied to Diluc's 5-star outfit, Dead of Night, but won't be rewarded. Aside from the outfit, there are other rewards you can claim, which we have listed below:

• Primogems
• Mystic Enhancement Ore
• Character EXP Materials
• Mora
• Weapon Ascension Materials

If you wish to acquire the Dead of Night outfit, it can be purchased from the Character Outfit Shop, as Travelers offers a limited-time discount. During that period, the outfit will be available for 1,980 Genesis Crystals before reverting to its original pricing of 2,480 Genesis Crystals.
