The existence of Microsoft's second next-gen Xbox console is a topic of speculations since the end of 2019.

Codenamed Lockhart, this second console is supposed to be a cheaper and less powerful "entry" console for the not-so-demanding gamers.

Xbox Series S, which was rumoured to be its final name, is now finally confirmed thanks to the packaging notes of the new next-gen Xbox controller in white.

Twitter user Zak S was able to purchase the controller yesterday through a resale site, and he shared photos of the controller, as well as its packaging.

If you look at the packaging notes, you will notice that it says the controller can be used with both Xbox Series X and S, which indeed confirms the existence of the Xbox Series S console.

Microsoft still hasn't officially announced neither Xbox Series S nor this new white controller, though it is expected that the Xbox Series S console will be unveiled later this month during this month's Xbox 20/20 event, which will probably be focused mostly on this console.

This is not the first time that this controller is leaking online, same white controller appeared on Reddit a few weeks ago, and now we are seeing it again.

This led to speculations that it might be available for purchase quite soon, possibly significantly earlier than the console itself.

According to The Verge and their sources, the Lockhart console is expected to include 7.5GB of usable RAM, around 4 teraflops of GPU performance, and ship with the same CPU found on the Xbox Series X.
