Hogwarts Legacy Traits: How To Unlock And Apply Traits

There are a ton of different RPG elements in Hogwarts Legacy, which makes progression more rewarding. Talents are skills that improve the effects of your spells and abilities, whereas Traits improve your gear.

Trait provides passive bonuses like increased damage from Bombarda spells or decreased damage taken from spiders. Depending on your playstyle, equipping the right Traits can make you more powerful in combat, something that becomes increasingly important as you level up and faces tougher enemies.

How To Unlock Traits In Hogwarts Legacy

You can unlock new Traits by completing Combat Challenges and looting Collection Chests scattered throughout the open world.

Every Trait comes in three different Tiers, with the latter being the most powerful. Once you have unlocked a Trait, you can equip it on any gear piece.

How To Apply Traits In Hogwarts Legacy

To equip Traits on a different piece of gear in Hogwarts Legacy, you will have to craft a workstation called 'Enchanted Loom' in the Room of Requirements. 

The Enchanted Loom won't be available to craft until you have completed the story quest 'The Elf, The Nab-Sack, and The Loom.' If you focus solely on the main story, it could take you between 10-12 hours to unlock the Enchanted Loom.

To craft the Enchanted Loom, you will need 8 Moonstones. Once you have the Loom in the Room of Requirement, you can use it to equip discovered Traits on any of your Gear.

Equipping a tier 1 Trait will cost 1 Puffskein Fur. Equipping a tier 2 Trait will cost 1 Diricawl Feather. And finally, Equipping a tier 3 Trait will cost a Kneazle Fur.
