There are many interesting and unique characters to collect in Honkai Star Rail. The main way in which Trailblazers can add new units to their roster is via the summoning system. Like with any other gacha game, players will need to use their summoning currency on a summon banner for the chance to acquire a desired unit. There are several banners to choose from in Honkai Star Rail, including a standard banner, a character rate-up banner, and a Light Cone banner. However, something that new players will have access to is the Departure Warp. 

At first glance, the Departure Warp has great value, being discounted by 20% when compared to other banners. However, is the Honkai Star Rail Departure Warp worth it? Let's find out!

Is The Honkai Star Rail Departure Warp Worth It?

In short, the Honkai Star Rail Departure Warp is worth it after you have spent your initial currency on the Stellar Warp (standard banner). Being heavily discounted and guaranteeing you a five-star character, there is not much of an argument to claim that the Departure Warp is not worth it. However, for those planning to reroll and optimize their account as much as possible, be wary about summoning on this banner right away. 

All Trailblazers will receive several summoning currencies at the start of the game that they can use on any banner they want (aside from the character-oriented banner). If you don't plan on rerolling, go ahead and spend this currency on the Departure Warp. However, it is better to use this currency to try and obtain a powerful character from the Stellar Warp first before acquiring your guaranteed summon on the Departure Warp. This way, you will have two five-star characters on your account from the get-go.

• You can only Warp 50 times (at a 20% discounted rate). 
• You are guaranteed a five-star character within those 50 Warps. 
• The available five-star characters include:
  • Bailu
  • Bronya
  • Clara
  • Gepard
  • Himeko
  • Welt
  • Yanqing
• You must perform ten summons at a time and cannot do single pulls. 
• The five-star character rate is 0.6%. 
• The four-star character rate is 5.1%.
• No Characters or Light Cones have an increased rate-up on this Warp. 
• You can only obtain one five-star character via this Warp. 
• You can only use regular Star Rail Passes on this Warp.
