Honkai Star Rail: All Honkai Impact 3rd Returning Characters

There is a ton of unique and exciting playable characters in Honkai Star Rail. However, it may surprise newcomers to HoYoverse games to discover that not every character in Honkai Star Rail is an original creation. Honkai Star Rail, at its core, is a spinoff of Honkai Impact 3rd. Not only do both games share the same Honkai title, but several characters from Honkai Impact 3rd are also present in Honkai Star Rail (albeit in a different form).

• Natasha (Star Rail) / Natasha Cioara (Honkai Impact 3rd)
• Welt (Star Rail)  / Welt Yang (Honkai Impact 3rd)
• Kafka (Star Rail) / Kafka Stigmata (Honkai Impact 3rd)
• Silver Wolf (Star Rail) / Haxxor Bunny a.k.a Bronya (Honkai Impact 3rd)

It is very likely that more characters from Honkai Impact 3rd and other HoYoverse properties will be making the jump to Honkai Star Rail in the future as well. While not available at launch, several promotional videos have shown the popular Honkai Impact 3rd character, Carole Pepper, chatting with Welt in Honkai Star Rail. This has led many fans to speculate over which of their favorite characters will be receiving an upgrade in Honkai Star Rail. 

These are not the only characters borrowed from other HoYoverse properties, however. while not expressly stated, several characters bear a striking resemblance to other characters from Genshin Impact. Therefore, it is highly likely that not only will Honkai Impact 3rd characters make a return in Honkai Star Rail in some form, but some Genshin Impact characters make the crossover as well. 

It is unlikely that these characters will be entirely the same and will likely have their appearance, backstory, and personality tweaked substantially. However, it is fun to wonder when and which characters will be added to Honkai Star Rail.
