Honkai Star Rail: Phantylia the Undying Location & How To Beat

Honkai Star Rail 1.2 is finally here, and with a new chunk of the main story comes a new boss for players to challenge. This boss comes in the form of Phantylia the Undying, who players will face off against in the final part of the 1.2 Xianzhou Luofu storyline.

Phantylia the Undying can be a very difficult encounter for unprepared Trailblazers as she comes with multiple phases, multiple mechanics, and tons of burst damage that needs to be mitigated.

Honkai Star Rail: Phantylia the Undying Location

Phantylia the Undying is found in the Xianzhou Luofu at Scalegorge Waterscape. Players will need to complete a majority of the main story quests in Honkai Star Rail 1.2 before they can reach this location, as this area and this boss fight is the last part of this story section. 

After completing this boss fight during the main story, players can return to this area in order to challenge Phantylia the Undying as an Echo of War boss. 

Honkai Star Rail: How To Beat Phantylia the Undying

Phantylia the Undying has 3 phases, and we will break down each of these stages here in order to beat her. 

Phase 1

Phantylia the Undying Weaknesses:

• Lightning
• Wind
• Imaginary

Abundance Lotus Weaknesses:

• Wind
• Imaginary

Strategy:

Phantylia will summon two Abundance Lotuses that will sap your Skill Points while they remain on the field. Players will want to unleash strong AOE attacks from the mandatory Jing Yuan Trial support character in order to deal with them effectively. Once defeated, each Lotus will return three Skill Points to the team. 

Phase 2

Phantylia the Undying Weaknesses:

• Lightning
• Wind
• Imaginary

Destruction Lotus Weaknesses:

• Imaginary
• Quantum
• Lightning

Strategy:

This time, the Lotuses will be Destruction-based and will siphon HP from the team instead of Skill Points. Additionally, they will also cast Bloom, followed by Havoc, which will inflict massive damage on the next turn. It is recommended to cleanse the Bloom debuff as soon as possible using Skills. 

Phase 3

Phantylia the Undying Weaknesses:

• Lightning
• Wind
• Imaginary

Abundance Lotus Weaknesses:

• Wind
• Imaginary

Destruction Lotus Weaknesses:

• Imaginary
• Quantum
• Lightning

Strategy:

In the final phase, two of each Lotus type will be on the field. It is recommended to use Jing Yuan's abilities and Dan Heng's support to deal with them ASAP. The strategy remains relatively similar, and players will want to cleanse Bloom and DPS down the boss. 

General Tips & Teambuilding

Here are some characters you should consider bringing to this fight:

Teams:

• Tingyun: To buff Jing Yuan
• Bronya: To cleanse Debuffs.
• Luocha: To heal and deal with Imaginary DMG. 
• Bailu: Burst heals and Lightning DMG.
• Yukong: Strong Imaginary support.
• Silver Wolf: To apply debuffs.

Tips

• While the intended strategy is to deal with the flowers and mitigate damage, it is possible, with the right support and Relics, to rush the boss down. A powerful Seele, when paired with Silver Wolf, is able to ignore the Lotuses in all three phases completely and simply DPS the boss down.
