League of Legends is one of the most popular games in the entire world. The game is unmatched in the MOBA scene and on top of that, the game arguably has the biggest esports scene in the entire world as well. With all the different champions players can pick from, there is a good reason why League of Legends is so popular.
One of the reasons for this is the events Riot Games creates for this game. Throughout the year, League of Legends celebrates different holidays by putting in new game modes, skins, and a lot more. From the looks of it, April Fools 2023 will be celebrated in League of Legends. Here, we are going to go over everything you need to know about what should appear this year at April Fools for League of Legends.
A League Of Legends April Fools Game Mode Confirmed By Riot
Previously, we had no idea that Riot was bringing in a new game mode to League of Legends for April Fools. What we knew before was that big patches come to live servers for League of Legends, they need to be tested by players in the Public Beta Environment (PBE) to iron out any issues the patch could create. This includes bugs and champion balance changes. Because of that, players can look into the PBE files and find some new items coming to League of Legends. In those files, was something called Tomato which was a new game mode coming to League of Legends.
But now, we have full confirmation that something is coming to League of Legends on April 1st. Although we do not have too many details at the moment, it looks like players can pick up hats, and attack Scuttle Crabs, and there are a lot of random cute enemies scattered throughout the map. Once we have more details about what is coming to League of Legends, we will update this page.
What New Skins Are Coming On April Fools For League Of Legends?
On top of a brand new game mode, April Fools will bring on new skins for League of Legends as well. In the past, April Fool's skins were themed and had a couple of different characters match each other. One year, it was a Space Groove theme where characters like Nasus were brought into a space setting.
This year, it seems to be dog and cat themed. The characters that will get new skins are Kindred, Nidalee, Kled, and Yuumi. For now, that is all we know about April Fools for League of Legends. More will be revealed when we get closer to April 1st.
