FlyQuest announces signing of PowerOfEvil

FlyQuest announced at the start of the weekend that they have signed former Counter Logic Gaming mid-laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage to its League of Legends roster.

PowerOfEvil will takeover for Eugene “Pobelter” Park who announced last week that he would no be playing in the North American region in 2020. PowerOfEvil will join former teammate Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun on the League of Legends team. The two formerly played together while on the Misfits roster in 2017, leading the organization to a 2017 World Championships quarterfinals run.

FlyQuest had a rather abysmal 2019 despite a top-four finish at the 2019 Spring Playoffs and ending the 2019 Summer Split with a 5-13 record. The team, who sat in ninth place of the LCS standings for the better part of the year will look onward to 2020 in what will likely be a rebuilding process for the team. Head coach Anand “Curry” Agarwal says the signing of PowerOfEvil and combination of IgNar and WildTurtle will create a “smart aggressive bot lane duo” that will hopefully make for an exciting year of play styles for the team moving forward.

PowerOfEvil first started competing in LoL in 2013 and has since been a part of organizations such as EYES ON U, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Planetkey Dynamics, Team Mistral, and Unicorns of Love along the way. PowerOfEvil first joined the North American region after his Worlds run during the 2017 season, signing with OpTic Gaming in 2018.

PowerOfEvil is no stranger to the rebuilding process as he spent most of the 2019 season turning around the CLG team who finished third in the summer regular split, playoffs, and Regional Qualifier in 2019. There’s no doubt that FlyQuest will look to the German player to bring his veteran experience to the squad, which could be the difference the team needs to remain competitive.
