MSI 2021 Clash Cup: Schedule, format, rewards, and more

The 2021 Mid-Season Invitational is just days away, bringing together the best teams from around the world to Iceland, fighting for international glory and the title of MSI champions.

To celebrate this, Riot has announced a new Clash Cup that will bring big rewards for all those who succeed in conquering the Summoner's Rift.

The MSI 2021 Clash will be a special Clash Cup, meaning it will be active for two weekends, on 8-9th May, and 29-30th May, with team registrations available from the 3-24th May.

Both cups will consist of an eight-team bracket with a double-elimination format, while all matches will be played in a best-of-one series.

Like previous tournaments, there will be two types of tickets within the in-game store that will grant you the ability to play in the cup, the Basic Ticket for 195 RP or 975 EA, and the Premium Ticket for 975 RP. Depending on which ticket you choose to enter with, you will receive different rewards:

Additionally, all players who enter with a Premium Ticket will be able to obtain prizes based on the Conqueror skin line, created to commemorate the MSI.

• Placing 1st through 5th, players will receive a random Legacy Conqueror skin permanent (Karma, Varus, Alistar, or Nautilus)
• Placing 6th through 8th, players will receive a random Legacy Conqueror skin shard (Karma, Varus, Alistar, or Nautilus)

With this announced, it only remains to prepare your skills and gather your best team to go for victory and obtain the coveted MSI 2021 Clash cup trophy, to display it with style on the Rift.

Remember, the MSI Clash Cup is just one small part of the MSI 2021 tournament, the weeks-long event brings the best teams in League of Legends together, and takes a mid-season temperature check. Returning this year after a covid call off, anticipation is higher than it's ever been.
