Life By You, the upcoming life simulation game from Paradox Tectonic, has been given a new early acces release date. Designed to be one of the most moddable and open games in its genre, Life By You is helmed by former head of EA's The Sims Lable Rob Humble, along side a team of veteran developers. The game was initially set for its early access release on March 5, 2024.

Update April 30: Life By You's early access release date has been confirmed as June 4, 2024.

Today, however, the studio revealed that they would be shifting the date to June 4, 2024, moving the early access release back by roughly three months. The reason is to allow the development team more time to refine the visuals for the game's human characters, and make further improvements to the gameplay.

Rob Humble, Paradox Tectonic's General Manager, went into further detail on the new release date in a recent video:

Players who previously pre-ordered Life By You, either on Steam or the Epic Games Store, will be able to receive refunds for their pre-orders. Information for this can be found on the game's FAQ page. While Life By You will continue to launch on Steam and Epic Games Store, pre-orders will no longer be available. However, the Life Begins Pack and the Nightlife Vibes Packs will be available throughout the early access period to all players who purchase the game.

Life By You is expected to remain in early access for roughly 12 months. According to the game's Steam FAQs, early access content will include customization options, Creator Tools, character interactions, and quests, with some features being introduced throughout the early access period.

Once the full release hits, Paradox Tectonic plan to "continue to introduce modder-friendly tools and features, and develop with our community in mind." Development updates and videos have been regularly posted to the game's YouTube channel, where fans can follow along with studio's progress.
