Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe reboot is headed to Paramount+

The 90's cartoon duo Beavis and Butt-Head are returning in a new reboot movie, dubbed Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, and it's headed straight to Paramount+. This latest announcement comes after the show's creator, Mike Judge, hinted at the cult classic's rebirthing earlier this year.

Now, Paramount+ has dropped a new trailer for the film, teasing the plot and a revived look at the classic protagonists. Here's everything you need to know about when Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe releases on Paramount+, news, and other details.

New Beavis and Butt-Head movie: Release date and how to watch

According to the film's official trailer, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe will release on 23rd June 2022, which isn't that far away. The new movie will be available exclusively on Paramount+, meaning you won't be able to see it elsewhere.

Unsurprisingly, the trailer squeezed everything that made the original show so good and funny in under 2 minutes. The witty writers even added a line in the trailer calling the movie "the dumbest science fiction movie ever made," featuring a scene where our heroes make fun of Marvel's Watcher character.

Beavis and Butt-Head movie: Story plot

Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe sees our protagonists sentenced to space camp in 1998 by a "creative" judge. Unfortunately, the duo gets sidetracked and starts to misuse a docking simulator. Following their perverted sense of humor in space, Beavis and Butt-Head proceed to hitch a ride on a space shuttle.

However, things eventually get messy when they travel through a black hole and teleport to the modern-day. Now, having been cast twenty-four years into the future, the duo set out on a quest to "score" while figuring out how iPhones work and attempting to evade the Deep State.
