Borat is heading back to Amazon Prime

New footage from Borat 2 is set to hit the streaming service.
Borat is heading back to Amazon Prime

With Borat just a week away from potentially winning two Oscars, Amazon is releasing “never before seen footage” in the shape of Borat Supplemental Reportings Retrieved From Floor of Stable Containing Editing Machine.

New and extended scenes feature Borat being confused by Alexa – who he thinks is a tiny woman trapped in a tower – and arguing with “liberal snowflakes” about the size of women’s brains.

The footage also features his daughter Tutar – played by Maria Bakalova – asking to be made up like R. Kelly, and Sacha Baron Coen coming out of character when his life appears to be in danger. Elsewhere there’s action on a golf range and in a barbershop, as well as another joke at Donald Trump’s expense.

Borat 2 – aka Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan – recently won the Golden Globe for Best Comedy or Musical, while Baron Coen also took home the award for Best Actor in a Comedy. Next week the film is up for two Academy Awards – Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actress for Bakalova’s star-making turn.

There’s no word on a release date yet, with Amazon simply stating that the new cut is coming soon.
