Lost Caverns Of Ixalan Release Date
The Lost Caverns Of Ixalan will be released globally on November 17, 2023. You'll be able to take part in a pre-release of the new cards on November 10, with the Magic The Gathering Arena release date for Lost Caverns of Ixalan taking place on November 14.
Lost Caverns of Ixalan New Mechanics
So far we have two confirmed new mechanics for Lost Caverns of Ixalan: Descend & Finality. These work as follows:
- Descend: You descend each time a permanent card is put into your graveyard from anywhere.
- Finality: If a creature with a Finality counter on it would die, exile it instead.
Lost Caverns Of Ixalan Release Format
Lost Caverns of Ixalan will be launching as normal set boosters so that you can build Standard format decks and modify your already existing Standard format decks. However, you'll also be getting your hands on four different Commander decks which are as follows:
- Ahoy Mateys (Red, Black & Blue)
- Blood Rites (White And Black)
- Explorers Of The Deep (Green And Blue)
- Veloci-Ramp-Tor (White, Red & Green)
