It almost sounds non-sensical when you find yourself feeling nostalgic about a certain game when you will play an improved version in just a couple of months.

I believe it is mostly the time spent and the progress made that makes you feel icky when you move on to NBA 2K22.

But for the moment, we get to enjoy one last run at MyTeam as the new Season 9: Out of this World was revealed earlier today via their official Twitter account.

MyTeam Season 9: Out of this World

The final MyTeam season has arrived with a three-week slate that will give us plenty of time to gather our best players and go for every single reward.

Find your dark matter, galaxy opal players, load them with contracts and your best shoes and step onto the hardwood for one last ride.

MyTeam Season 9 feature player items

First things first, the season will launch with a properly named pack: Out of this World and will feature players that participated in big-screen projects.

And of course, the “out of the world” would not make any sense if we did not get Space Jam themed items.

The pack could contain special Dark Matter versions of Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, and of course, Lebron James featuring the movie’s artwork.

MyTeam Season 9 G.O.A.T. series

This season we will go beyond invincible as we will be able to obtain 5 different player cards from the G.O.A.T. collection, obviously considering Michael Jordan and Lebron James, as revealed on this seasons’ Courtside Report.

These cards will have 99 overall in every attribute plus all of the Hall of Fame badges on each item.

MyTeam Season 9 game mode rewards

For the first time, the season agenda will only feature invincible rewards starting with a DM Invincible Isaiah Thomas from the get-go all the way to earn a DM Invincible Julius Erving.
