One of the features that they kept and actually expanded for this edition of the franchise was the Seasonal progressions system, which has allowed users to turn their time spent playing into more and better rewards.
As we are about to finish Season 2: Build you Empire, we will tell you everything that we know so far about the upcoming Season 3, so buckle up and enjoy the ride.
When will Season 3 be officially launched in NBA 2K22?
Just like the first season, Season 2: Build your Empire will last exactly six weeks from its start back on October 22nd, which means that we will transition once again on Friday, 3rd December.
Last season that transition happen throughout the morning so you should still have some hours to grind out the last couple of XP levels if you wake up early.
Clutch Time was announced last week as the newest game mode in MyTeam

But what happens if you tie when the buzzer sounds? 🤔 Clutch Time has Sudden Death Overtime rules:
1️⃣ Win the tip
2️⃣ Score first
3️⃣ End the game fast pic.twitter.com/28KAPLtRW4
During the MT Festival last week we received various news and rewards to celebrate Thanksgiving and among those MyTeam announced through their official Twitter account the inclusion of a brand new game mode called Clutch Time.
This game mode will complement very well the rest of the offerings as it will be a fast-paced mode, similar to Triple Threat but with some changes to the general rules that will take the speed of the game to the next level.
In-game you will enjoy shorter possessions as they will only last up to 14 seconds instead of the usual 24, combine this with the inclusion of a 4pt line and sudden death overtime and this could become a new fan favourite among players.
Predictions for Season 3 rewards in NBA 2K22
One of the things that fans are expecting to happen for next season is the arrival of the first Galaxy Opal player items as we only have Pink Diamond as the highest tier so far, fortunately, they were released around this time last year for NBA 2K21 so there high hopes for that to be the case again.
The community is even creating mock-ups of what they believe will be the level 40 rewards for next season and we actually hope some of them come true.
Enjoy reading through the speculation the next couple of days before 2K announces the Courtside Report with all of the official details for next season and of course we will be there to share everything with you.
In the meantime, make sure to give a look at our dedicated section as we will bring you everything you need to know about every NBA 2K release, news, MyTeam tips and more.
