Is Hideo Kojima OD Coming To PlayStation?

At The Game Awards 2023, the creator of the acclaimed video game franchise Metal Gear Solid and 2019's Death Stranding announced his latest and arguably the most bizarre project - OD. 

While the OD teaser didn't reveal much, Kojima has confirmed a few things about the game that should excite every fan. One of the most interesting details is that this new project is being developed on Unreal Engine using Xbox's Cloud Technology and will be published by Xbox Game Studios. 

With Xbox involved, some fans have raised concerns about whether this enigmatic Kojima project will come to PlayStation, the studio's home system, specifically PS5. 

Will Kojima's OD Come To PlayStation? Answered

While there's no concrete statement on this matter, OD is likely to be an Xbox exclusive and won't be coming to PlayStation. This seems more viable since OD is being developed on Unreal Engine instead of Death Stranding's Decima Engine, which is owned by PlayStation's Guerrilla Games.

If OD was being made on Decima, Kojima Productions and Xbox may have had some contract or obligation to bring the game to PlayStation. However, since that's not the case, OD will probably not be coming to PS5 anytime soon.

Players should note that this info is speculative on our behalf, and OD could, against all odds, be released on PS5. As such, it's best to wait for an official statement from Kojima Productions.
