Although the original story mode that was promised is no longer happening for Overwatch 2, that does not mean that there will be no story content for the game. Overwatch 2 will indeed get story missions that players can participate in. Players can participate in the new story content through the Invasion missions.

Invasion is the story content that many Overwatch 2 players have been waiting for. This is going to be the biggest content drop during Season 6 of Overwatch 2. But what exactly is coming to Overwatch 2 Invasion mode? What should players expect? Thankfully, it looks like Blizzard will reveal quite a bit during their upcoming Invasion live stream.

When Will The Invasion Livestream Happen For Overwatch 2?

A lot of eyes are on Blizzard now after the cancelation of the story mode that was originally promised for Overwatch 2. Now that they have revealed that story content will be done through missions in Overwatch 2, there are a lot of people who will want to know as much as possible before trying it out.

To give players that information, Blizzard made a blog post announcing the Invasion Reveal Livestream. Those who are interested in learning more will have to go to the PlayOverwatch Twitch page on June 21 at 11 am PDT to find out more.

What Will Happen During The Invasion Livestream For Overwatch 2?

The only thing that we know is that Blizzard plans on giving players a closer look at the Invasion Story Missions that are coming in Season 6. There will be three Invasion story missions available on August 10th. Other than that, Blizzard has not given us too much information about the upcoming live stream. We will have to wait until the stream to find out more.

But we do know we are also going to get information about other pieces of upcoming Overwatch 2 content as well. We will get a peek at an upcoming new King's Row Co-Op event, Hero Mastery Mode, player progression system, and the new Flashpoint game mode. There is a lot of information coming our way, so this will be an important stream to watch.
