Overwatch League’s Hangzhou Spark sign ADO ahead of first match

After the Overwatch League’s first week kicked off in Dallas and New York last weekend, team Hangzhou Spark have announced a new addition to their team before their first match.  

Gi-hyeon“ADO” Chon has been signed as the newest projectile DPS player on the roster, who previously played for the Washington Justice in the 2019 season.  

Making the announcement on Twitter, Hangzhou Spark wrote: “His skill and professionalism impressed us during his 2-month tryout and we believe the OWL veteran will be a great addition to our team!” 

Hangzhou Spark were originally scheduled to play their first matches of this year’s season on 15 February, but these were cancelled due to safety concerns over the Coronavirus in China.  

The team’s first matches therefore will take place during Seoul Dynasty’s homestand in South Korea on 7 March, where they will face San Francisco Shock in their first match.  

In the offseason, Hangzhou Spark made some significant changes to their team – with Shilong “Krystal” Cai, An “Revenge” Hyeong-geun, and Daun “NoSmite” Jeong all leaving the roster.
