Persona 5 Tactica may look different from Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal, what with its endearing art style and tactical combat system, but it's still a Persona game at its core.

Like other Persona games, you can unlock and equip new Personas in Persona 5 Tactica. You can also fuse multiple Personas to create a new one. Persona fusion, although optional, has always been a crucial part of the gameplay in Persona games, especially since it allows you to create some incredibly rare and powerful Personas that are otherwise not obtainable.

If you're wondering how Persona Fusion works in Persona 5 Tactica and how to unlock it, you're in the right place. Here's how it works.

The option to fuse Personas in Persona 5 Tactica becomes available after finishing the game's eight mission, where you rescue Ann and Futaba from the clutches of Lady Marie. Once you're back at the hideout, go to the Velvet Room, and Lavenza will introduce you to Persona Fusion.

The process of fusing Personas to create a new one in Persona 5 Tactica works similarly to Persona 5. There are two options available from the get-go. Firstly, you can either sacrifice two or three Personas from your arsenal to create a new one. Secondly, you can fuse by the result, which is the same thing but less cumbersome, as you only have to select the new Persona you want to create instead of selecting two or three base Personas for fusion.

We recommend going with the latter if you're new to the Persona franchise since it's a little less overwhelming. Do note that fusing two Personas will destroy them in the process, so if it's a Persona you plan on using, maybe don't fuse it.

Thankfully, a lot of different combinations can create the same Personas, so if you're looking to create something particular, check out all the combinations for that Persona in your arsenal before starting the fusion process. It also goes without saying, but like in the previous games, you can't create a Persona higher than that of your current level.

That's everything you need to know about Persona Fusion in Persona 5 Tactica.
