There are five different difficulty levels in Phasmophobia for you to choose from. Which difficulty level you choose is determined by the map you're on.

These are the difficulty levels available in Phasmophobia:

  • Amateur
  • Intermediate
  • Professional
  • Nightmare
  • Insanity

As you'd imagine, the maps of each difficulty get increasingly harder. It will become more and more challenging to identify the identity of the Ghost as you go up in difficulty, so it's best to start out with Amateur and work your way up.
