Phasmophobia's Weekly Challenge this week is the 'Hide & Seek Extreme' Challenge, which for those who haven't already guessed it, is an even tougher version of the previous Hide & Seek challenge.

It'll require some skill and dedication to complete, but it's more than possible. So here's how to complete Phasmophobia's Hide & Seek Extreme Challenge to earn your rewards (and bragging rights).

How To Complete 'Hide & Seek: Extreme' Challenge

Phasmophobia's Hide & Seek Extreme weekly challenge requires players to identify the ghost's identity on Camp Woodwind three times. The Hide & Seek Extreme challenge follows the same rules as the standard Hide & Seek Challenge - which gives less evidence - but offers even fewer hiding spots in the case of a hunt.

This makes the challenge's $3,000 reward tough to earn, but well worth it for those who persist.

Here are a few tips for making your way through this challenge and achieving the objective as quickly as possible.

To make things even more difficult, Camp Woodwind is a small map with very few hiding spots.

Identify Hiding Spots Early

Since you'll have few spots to hide if the ghost ends up hunting you, you'll need to identify some hiding spots early on so you'll know where to go. You'll want this to be one of the very first things you do. As you walk around Woodwind, check for spots where you may be able to hide from the ghost in case they chase you. Dart toward those areas in case a hunt begins.

Observe And Note Ghost Behaviour

You're not only working with limited hiding spots, but with limited tools and evidence, too. As a result, it's very important to pay attention to the ghost's behaviour and cross-check it with the ghost types you know. It might help to use a guide, like our guide to Phasmophobia's ghost types, while you do this.

For example, if a ghost begins hunting you quickly, you can pin it down as an aggressive ghost type; if it throws things around, on the other hand, you'll know it's likely a Poltergeist.

Use Alternative Light Sources

Interestingly and somewhat frustratingly, you won't be able to use your handy Flashlight on this mission. Instead, you'll need to do your best to navigate through the dark. You can use some other sources of light, like candles or lighters, a video camera, or even DOTS Projectors/UV pens to help you see around the map. You'll have to get creative to make your way around the camp and identify the ghost's area and identity.
